Rules:

Of course with any server, there are rules. Here is an extended list of our rules and the things you can and cannot do on the SHFT Network server.

GAME CHAT RULES:

• Spamming is not allowed.

• Do not talk down, degrade or harshly insult other players. (Playful banter is allowed, just be sure the other player is okay with it)

• Racism, sexism, toxicity, or otherwise vulgar and inappropriate chat is strictly not allowed. Kids play!

• You may not advertise any other server without an approval from Head Staff.

• Staff impersonation is not allowed.

• If a staff member tells you to drop a subject, you are not allowed to argue or carry on about the subject.

• If you send any harmful software such as viruses, IP grabbers and other harmful software it will result in an immediate and permanent ban.

• Don't ask for ranks, staff or perks. (You'll def lose some brownie points for that).

GAME PLAY RULES:

• No cheating allowed. This includes modified clients/hacking, x-ray, hacked clients, exploits, duping items, owning illegal items, etc. Optifine and Shaders Mods are permitted.

• Ban or mute evasion, (i.e. using alts to bypass) is strictly not allowed.

• No racist or revolting names or skins allowed, you will be banned until you change and appeal.

• Lava or water casting, inappropriate builds, etc. are not allowed.

• No more than 3 alt accounts. What is an alt account? In a general sense it is another Minecraft account you use to play on the server. If you ever use an alt account, you are only allowed to have a maximum of 3 accounts, any more will warrant a punishment.

DISCORD RULES

• You may not mass ping. This will result in your immediate removal from the SHFT Network discord.

• If you need assistance, your question should be posted in #staff-help and you should ping staff once to get their attention.

• Pinging staff with the @[Staff] tag may only be used in the #staff-help channel and only if you are in need of assistance.

• You may not ping staff multiple times for the same problem.

• Don't ping anyone individually in the server unless they are okay with it.

• Understand that your nickname will likely be changed to your in-game-name. It makes it easier for us to recognize you and log your issues.

• Please post content in the correct channels. They're there for a reason.

• All images and videos are to be posted in the #show-off channel only.

• Don't post someone's personal information without permission.

• If you are reporting a player, report them in #staff-help with the players IGN and proof. Other players cannot see your messages, so it will be anonymous.

Q: How do you apply for staff?

A: There is no official application to become a staff member. It just happens over time as ULucky observes how players behave. Values desired are as follows: Responsible, Helpful, Polite, Online Time. Asking to become staff doesn't really help, it just annoys server owners. :) Just play and have fun, you never know it might randomly happen to you!

Q: Why did I get banned/jailed?

A: Check #ban-reports on our Discord to see why. If you think there was a mistake, tell an admin.

Q: I lost my stuff! Can staff restore them?

A: No we can't. But if you were unfairly killed or died because of a glitch there is a slight possibility to do so. Be sure to have some sort of evidence of you dying by the staff or server. You're not entitled to getting your stuff back, even during a server restart.

Q: My mobs disappeared, can you spawn me another one?

A: No. There's no way for us to tell if you killed the mob or someone else did. Please don't ask.

Q: Can I kill players without their permission?

A: Yes. You don't ever need permission from anyone to kill them. Please note that PvP is disabled in certain areas. If you got killed in a place where you don't think you should've or if you think that place should allow killing and it doesn't (or vice versa), please let a staff member know.

Q: Can I kill staff members?

A: Absolutely! But be aware that staff members may play as regular players too, which means that they can raid you back, kill you, etc. However, please don't try to kill staff when they are helping you.

Q: Can I get a rainbow/custom nickname? Pleeeaaasssee?

A: Rainbow nicknames are super cool, and sometimes staff like to reward players with them. However, this doesn't mean they like being asked constantly, so when players ask, they'll usually say no. Just sit tight and have fun and one day you might end up with a rainbow nickname!

Q: Why are some punishments harsher than others for different players?

A: The staff team determines player punishments to ensure fairness and consistency on a player by player basis. For an example, if a player is especially a troublemaker, they might receive a harsher punishment.

Q: Do I have to cooperate with staff if they're being unfair?

A: Yes. Your presence on the server does not entitle you special attention, privileges, or extra items. It will always be in your best interest to listen to staff and respect their decisions. If you feel that a staff member has done anything beyond being playful, please report to an admin!

Q: What's the purpose of staff if they can't cater to my requests?

A: Staff maintain peace on the server and ensure that players are playing fair and following rules.

A: Report to Admins or Owner.

A: We run the server in 1.15.2 but we're working hard to bring 1.16.5 to you soon!
