我是誰………..?

Hi, my name is Paul Andre. I’m from Cape Town, the most beautiful city in South-Africa.

大家好，我是Paul Andre，來自南非最美麗的一個城市叫開普敦。

I’m currently a teacher at Shin-gang Elementary School in Changhua County. I have 11 years of teaching experience in various levels, from Kindergarten to adults. Teaching for me is about guiding someone to develop new abilities whether in academics or personal life skills.

我現在為彰化新港國小的英語村老師，在這之前有著非常豐富橫跨各領域（幼稚園至成人班）約１１年的教學經驗。對我來說教學的意義在於導引一個人發展新的能力，不管是在課業上或者人生這段路。

I love outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, surfing, snorkeling and hiking. Being with friends and loved ones are very important to me as it recharge your soul and mind.

我喜愛許多戶外運動，像是釣魚、露營、衝浪、浮淺以及爬山。在這同時我覺得跟朋友以及愛的人在一起也是非常重要的，因為這能夠讓自己身心靈沉澱並且充電。

Sport is also an important part of my life as I believe a healthy body creates a healthy mind therefore I try to jog, cycle, swim or play rugby if possible.

運動也是我人生中一大項目，我相信有著健康的身體會讓自己的心境更好，所以我也會在空閒之餘慢跑、騎腳踏車、游泳、或者打橄欖球。

Life is about making mistakes, learning new things and to explore.

對我來說，人生就是不停的犯錯、學習以及探索新事物。

The most important aspect for me is for students to have fun, feel comfortable and build confidence to use English. Teaching English in a foreign country demands the teacher to be open minded, up to date with trends and technology and to be creative.

對我很重要的一方面是讓學生在有興趣、舒適、以及有有信心的環境下學習英語。我教英文的宗旨為以開放的心態、最新資訊以及科技、並且用最創新的方式教學。

Creativity of how you present your lesson will determine whether students will participate. Some students might not have the ability to communicate through speaking but body language is the international language which overcomes all barriers.

對一堂課程的創新度會決定學生是否會參與其中。有些學生可能沒辦法用口語的方式溝通，但是肢體語言可以將溝通障礙減到最低。

I hope that after each lesson I can at least change students mindsets to have a more positive approach towards English and even better if they have gained new vocabulary.

我希望在每一堂課之後能夠讓學生們學到新的單字，或者給學生一股學習英語的正能量。
