Unique & Fun Things To See And Do At The Heritage Center

The Heritage Center has a lot of Sherwood's history within the museum and the Smock House.

We are offered new items and photos often and are thankful to receive them to share with you.

One of those 1950's things that we have is an old rotary dial phone that is connected to a real land line. Remember land lines?

They are rare these days but still necessary too.

But what is even more rare are old phones like ours that work.

During this years Pioneer Days we discovered that this phone was a highlight for many that attended this event.

Of course a telephone was not typical in the 19th century but it was a fun thing to use.

Well it's still at the museum and still works.

Stop in when we are open on Wednesday and Saturday, 1 - 4 in the afternoon and see if your kids can figure it out... and I have to say that I noticed there were some parents that couldn't use it this year.

How time flies.
