"La Viuda" is an intimate fashion collection inspired by my visual journal merging personal experiences, poetry, and visual storytelling. Each garment is inspired by entries from my journal, translating my creative explorations into developing wearable pieces. This collection opens up a conversation about the lived experience of womanhood and what that means, reminding us of the value of our diverse stories in fashion. The name "La Viuda", which translates to widow was inspired by the representation of women who are widowed and how many live in society forever shunned because of societal norms.

When starting my ideation process, I embarked on creating a visual journal that beautifully merges my personal experiences with poetry, presenting an intimate reflection of my identity as a woman in today's society.
This visual diary serves as a creative space where I delve into my lived experiences, emotions, and thoughts, capturing them through a combination of imagery, illustrations, and heartfelt poetry. It becomes a powerful means of self-expression and storytelling, allowing me to share my journey as a woman with authenticity and vulnerability.
The creative process of designing clothes deeply dealt with my personal styling and how clothing depending on the comfort level, how exposed I wanted, and how it will present to others influenced the choices that I made. For me, it was important that I am able to see myself in my own clothes because I see them as a reflection of my desires.
