Hello! I am a PhD student in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University. My research interests span environmental and resource economics, energy economics, and agricultural economics, with a focus on understanding how economic tools can address pressing challenges at the intersection of sustainability, energy, and food systems.
Prior to beginning my doctoral studies, I earned a Bachelor's degree from Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria, where I graduated among the top 2% of my class. My academic work has appeared in peer-reviewed outlets such as the Journal of Economics and International Finance and the International Journal of Research and Scientific Innovation.
I have been recognized with several honors and awards, including a Fellowship from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at Ohio State University, the Michael Taiwo Foundation Scholarship, the Matrix Energy Group Undergraduate Scholarship, and the “Rookie of the Year” award at Sahara Power Group.
In addition to my academic work, I bring professional experience as a Consultant with KPMG Nigeria, where I worked on projects spanning energy, sustainability, and economic development.
My doctoral studies are supported by funding from Ohio State University, and I am passionate about contributing impactful research that bridges environmental policy, resource management, and economic development.
