Well we had a fabulous day at the  Shepherdswell Art Group Show on Saturday. 

With over a hundred paintings on show and a vast array of homemade cakes we managed not only to sell 29 paintings, our best ever, but more importantly we raised £435 for Porchlight, a local Charity that aims to provide life-changing support that helps people break the cycle of homelessness.

A great big thank you to all those who worked so hard and to the visitors who supported us on the day.

The Shepherdswell Art Group meets every Wednesday morning in the Shepherdswell Village Hall between 9.15 and 12.15.  We welcome painters or would-be painters of all abilities and experience, working in any style or media. 

A professional artist visits us on a regular basis, usually about every eight weeks, and holds a tutorial that includes a demonstration, practical tuition and feedback.

Every few weeks we have a theme which members of the Group are free to contribute to or ignore as the mood takes them. At the end of the 'theme' we hold an informal display and then include copies of the paintings in the gallery on this web site.

If you are interested in spending a pleasant morning, working in a quiet and supportive atmosphere with others who have a common interest then why not come and try a free taster session one Wednesday Morning.  Parking at the Village Hall is free
