WHY? Because your Membership Has a Ripple Effect

Your child benefits when you get involved with the PTSA. Your membership dues and donations help fund PTSA programs and events at the school, state, and national level. $7 for an adult and $5 for students and faculty/staff. 

You make the following possible:

• New student welcome bags. We will see you on Saturday, September 26 from 9a- 11a

• Hot chocolate days for students in February.

• Refreshments and hospitality at awards nights and other school events. (Giveback Days and Senior Sunset)

• $500 Scholarships to two graduating seniors who are members of the PTSA.

And…

• Neil Hesson Awards to two students in each grade.

• Reflections Program

• Teacher and Staff Appreciation

• Swank Movie Licensing USA Public Performance Site License, on behalf of 21 major motion picture studios, to K-12 schools so they can legally show entertainment films.

FUNDRAISING / DONATIONS

• School pictures from Lifetouch are our major fundraising event of the year. Pictures at High School West will be on Sept. 15-18. Pictures at High School East will be on Sept. 22-25. Instructions for ordering photos online will be sent home with the students. 

• Ordering additional pictures and gift items through Shutterly will also help support the PTSA.

• We accept cash donations at https://shenhsptsa.memberhub.com/store. 

• Throughout the year, we may also seek donations for various student and teacher/staff events.
