Dr. Huang's research area is at the intersection of Political Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, and Computational Social Science. Specifically, Dr. Huang's work examines how AI and algorithms shape users' news behaviors and perceptions in digital media environments, as well as the societal and civic consequences. Dr. Huang received her PhD from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining Annenberg, she obtained an M.A. in Journalism and Communication from Tsinghua University and a B.A. in Communication from Renmin University of China. She had previously engaged in various journalistic practices before embarking on her academic career.
