How do I add an item?
Tap the plus button to add an item by hand, or use the scan button to read a barcode and the printed date with your camera.
How does scanning work?
Point your camera at a product barcode to fill in the name and category, then point it at the printed date to read it. If the camera is not available, you can always enter the date by hand.
Will SHELF remind me before things expire?
Yes. SHELF sends reminders on your device before your items expire. You can set a default lead time and a daily morning summary in Settings.
Is my data private?
Yes. SHELF works without an account and keeps your data on your device. There are no ads and no tracking. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Do the AI features cost anything?
Some advanced features are available through an optional subscription. The core experience is free to use.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Settings, then tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you used before.
How do I export or back up my data?
Open Settings, then Data and Backup, to export a backup file or share it to another device.
