Storage Manager is a phone storage cleaner and device management tool. The App’s core features mainly run locally on your device. Unless stated otherwise in this Policy, we do not upload your files, media content, scan results, installed app list, or cleanup history to our servers.
Information we may access or process:
1. Storage and file information: total storage, available storage, file names, file paths, file types, file sizes, modified dates, and category information for images, videos, audio files, downloads, cache files, temporary files, and log files. This is used for local scanning, categorization, preview, and deletion only after your confirmation.
2. Installed apps and app usage information: app names, package names, icons, app sizes, and last-used timestamps after you enable Usage Access. This is used to show high-storage apps, rarely used apps, all non-system apps, and to help you open system uninstall or battery setting pages.
3. Local settings and history: dark appearance, scan summaries, cleanup records, reclaimed storage records, and utility states. This data is stored locally on your device.
4. Notification status: if you grant notification permission, the App may send local notifications about cleanup reminders, scan status, or utility completion.
5. Network access: the App may use internet access to load the Privacy Policy page or in-app WebView content. The current version does not upload your files, scan results, or installed app list.
Permissions:
MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: used to scan, categorize, preview, and delete files in shared storage after your confirmation.
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS: used to identify rarely used apps and must be enabled manually in system settings.
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES: used to display visible non-system apps, app icons, and app storage usage.
REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES: used to open the Android system uninstall confirmation screen. The App does not bypass system confirmation.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: used on Android 13 and above to send local notifications.
INTERNET: used to load the Privacy Policy page and other online content.
How we use information:
We use information to calculate available and cleanable storage, identify cache files, temporary files, screenshots, similar photos, large files, media files, and app storage usage, show cleanup suggestions, scan results, previews, and cleanup history, and help you open relevant Android system settings pages.
Sharing:
We do not sell your personal information. The current version does not upload your files, media content, scan results, installed app list, or cleanup history to our servers, and we do not share this information with third parties. We may disclose information only when required by applicable law, court order, or regulatory request.
Retention and deletion:
Scan summaries, settings, and cleanup history are stored locally on your device until you clear app data, reset local data, or uninstall the App. Original files in shared storage remain under your control. The App deletes selected files only after your explicit confirmation.
Security:
The App prioritizes on-device processing to reduce data transfer risks. We do not require account creation or file uploads. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should carefully manage Android permissions.
Children’s privacy:
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.
Your controls:
You can revoke storage, notification, Usage Access, and other permissions in Android settings; deselect any file or app before cleanup; clear app data; or uninstall the App to remove local data.
Changes:
We may update this Privacy Policy due to feature changes, legal requirements, or Google Play policy requirements. The updated Policy will be available in the App or on the Google Play Store listing.
