Albert Gore Research Center Work Samples
The first manuscript collection I processed , the Nancy Rupprecht Collection was a large, complex project that introduced me to the fundamentals of archival processing. I learned how to develop efficient workflows for physically organizing and rehousing materials while ensuring long-term preservation and accessibility. This experience shaped my understanding of archival best practices, from initial inventory to final arrangement, giving me a strong foundation for future projects.
The Bart Gordon Collection provided invaluable experience in large-scale political and governmental records processing. I collaborated with a team to tackle this extensive collection, focusing on physical processing, arrangement, and ensuring sensitive materials were handled appropriately. This project taught me how to manage multi-person workflows, apply best practices for political records, and ensure the collection remained organized and accessible for future researchers studying Tennessee’s political history.
Working on the Goldstein Collection expanded my skills in both physical and digital preservation, particularly for photographic materials. Since this collection had already been partially processed, I focused on integrating new materials, stabilizing fragile photographs, and ensuring consistent metadata for digital preservation. This project strengthened my ability to work with hybrid collections, blending traditional archival methods with digital strategies to enhance accessibility and long-term care.
