Nacho Cheese Doritos Commercial
Intro: This clip of a Doritos commercial is an image of a naked girl insinuating the man to eat the chips off the women's body. It got the attention of viewers because the women looked naked covered in Doritos.
Why This Is Objectifying Women: In this commercial a naked woman has chips poured all over her. In the first clip it is a video a man visualizing what the Doritos would taste like, then it cuts to the almost naked woman. They are comparing how Doritos taste to how a woman would taste or should taste like. The woman in the video licks the chips while the man is watching and almost drooling. The video of the woman laying half naked on a bed of chips is being used to sell the product. Women should not have to get half naked for someone specifically men to buy a bag of chips. She is laying on a bed in a vulnerable position almost as if the man is about to take advantage of her.
Conclusion: TV ads and TV commercials take advantage of women's bodies everyday. Publishing videos of images of half naked women just to sell their products. The main purpose of this commercial was to compare a bag of chips to how a woman taste. They insinuated eating the chips off of the women's body like eating a good bag of chips. It is sickening as a female to watch women be in ads and commercials like this one. Basically the more naked women they show the more people want to watch and purchase the product, its called... objectifying women. Women are not objects put in the commercial industry they seem to be.
