I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability at the University of Oklahoma. I received my PhD in Public Policy and Environmental Philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in September 2022. I also did a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Social Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). 

My research interests are political and social theory, the study of institutions and power, and questions of inequality, space, and justice. My book, The Logic of Corruption, recently published by Cambridge University Press, examines why corruption persists in governments. I am currently working on my second monograph, which is under contract with Cambridge University Press for the Elements in Comparative Political Theory series. In this research, I use empirical evidence from India, Nigeria, and Ghana to reconstruct the concept of bureaucratic authority.
