Our walks are designed not to be too strenuous and mainly start in and around the Peak District National Park. All walks are held on the first Sunday of each month and start at the same time all year round. This maintains a continuity of day and starting time that people can rely on if they make a last minute decision to join on any particular day. The numbers participants on a particular day has varied from less than 6 to almost 40. Weather can influence how many people join but those who do attend always have a good day.
All walks are listed in our calendar with the map of the starting point. The link to the Ordnance Survey Grid Reference in the programme will display the precise location of the starting point.
Wear clothing and footwear suitable for the time of year. The distance of the walks are between 5 – 8 miles. Please be at the starting point by 10:45. The group sets off promptly at 11:00. There will be a lunch stop and the odd tea break. Finishing time is usually no later than 16:00.
Sheffield Weekenders have no insurance, and all walks are at participants' own risk.
