About

Sheffield Shadows was established in 1992 and entered the Division 1 North League in the 1993/4 season. In the 2002/3 season, Shadows won promotion to the English Premier League.   

Sheffield Shadows has grown since and were the first Women’s club to form two teams.  We have two Senior Women's team, WNIHL1 and WNIHL2 playing in the corresponding WNIHL leagues.  

We also have a U16 team playing in the WNIHL U16 North Division.

The Shadows have a strong focus on developing players to get into the sport and be coached to the highest level – the Shadows have several representatives (both players and coaches) in the England and Great Britain Teams.

Success does not come without hard work and the Shadows would not be where they are today without the dedication of players, coaches, managers, parents and so many others.
