Cat Sitting
Cats are very sociable creatures and miss the attention you usually give them when you are at home. We try to give them as much as we can when visiting them. Visits last for 15 mins and it’s up to you whether you choose 1 or 2 visits per day.
Cats prefer to stay in their own home environment when you are away, as most find going to a cattery extremely stressful.
We have many years looking after cats. We are happy to put your bins out, draw curtains, put lights on and move your post when you are away to give the impression that the house is lived in. We can also water your plants whilst you’re away!
We can visit your cat once or twice a day
Feed & change water
Grooming if required
Change litter & clear up any mess
We can give medication as instructed
Cleaning of bowls & food area
Generally fuss & play with your cat
Before visits start, we will come and meet you and your cat at home, and complete our questionnaire to understand as much as possible about your cat’s habits so they won’t feel anxious when you are away.
UPDATE 10/5/20: In place of visiting you in your home, to comply with social distancing, we can organise a video call either by Whatsapp, Zoom or Skype. If this is not a option for you, we can simply telephone you.
If you leave toys out, we are happy to entertain them if they want to play!
Most people don’t like to ’put on’ friends or neighbours as they used to, as many people lead busy lives. This way you can be assured that your cat is visited however many times a day you choose, that their health and happiness is number one to us and that you don’t have to spend your entire holiday trying to find us a bottle of wine or box of chocolates as a thank you present! (unless you want to of course!)
If you would like your cat to be able to go out of the house as they normally do, we would ask you to sign a disclaimer stating that you are happy for this to happen. This can be organised at the consultation.
Price: 1 visit (15 mins) = £7.50* (no extra charge for additional cats)
*All Bank holidays inc Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Xmas eve, Xmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve & New Years Day are charged at double rate.
15 minutes is the MINIMUM amount of time we spend with your cat. Once we have done all our duties, we spend the rest of the time giving attention to your cat. If things take a little longer than 15 mins, then we stay to sort things out. We never rush a job.
Visits can either be in the morning or evening (or both) and we try to keep to roughly the same times each day to break the day up for your cat. We leave a visit log out which we fill in every time we arrive stating start and finish times of each visit. We are very aware that this is a service that only your cat knows has happened so we try to give you as much assurance as possible and leave the visit log out for your return.
For security assurance, all details given are locked in a secure, alarmed area and keys are not marked with the owner’s details and keys remain separate from the details taken at the consultation. Our cars are unmarked so not alerting people to an empty house when we visit.
