Sarah is a postdoctoral researcher in the Sheffield Lab. She got her PhD in Neuroscience at Vanderbilt University, where she focused on multisensory integration and social cognition in autistic children. Her broad research interest is in how the interaction between bottom-up (sensory) and top-down (prior knowledge) processing forms our unique perceptions of the world around us. Sarah lives in Nashville with her partner, child, and two cats. In her spare time, she likes to putter around the garden, crochet kitschy wall decor, and read long-winded fantasy epics.Â
