SUMMARY
SheetMile helps self-employed people record business receipts and car mileage into their own Google Sheet. SheetMile has no servers and no user accounts. Your data stays on your device and in your own Google Drive. We do not sell data, show ads, or use analytics or advertising identifiers.
WHAT THE APP HANDLES, AND WHERE IT GOES
Receipt photos. To read the receipt and keep proof for your taxes. Stored on your device and uploaded to a private folder SheetMile creates in your Google Drive.
Receipt text and fields (merchant, date, amounts, tax, currency, payment method including the last 4 card digits if printed, Schedule C category). To fill the Expenses tab. Read on your device with Google ML Kit. No image or text is sent to any AI service. Stored on your device and in your Google Sheet.
Precise location during car trips (including in the background). To calculate trip distance for mileage deductions. Processed on device. Only trip start and end points (coordinates), times and distance are saved, on your device and in your Google Sheet. Raw GPS tracks are not kept. Tracking runs only after you select a car and only while connected to that car's Bluetooth, or for a trip you start manually.
Bluetooth device names and hardware addresses of paired devices. To recognise the car or cars you select. On device only. The car name you choose appears in your Sheet.
Google account email. To show which account is connected. On device only.
Subscription status. To unlock Pro features. Purchases are processed by Google Play. RevenueCat, Inc. (our subscription service provider) receives purchase receipts and a random app-generated user ID to validate your subscription. GOOGLE ACCOUNT ACCESS
SheetMile requests only the Google scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file, which lets it see and edit only files SheetMile itself created: the SheetMile_Tax_Report spreadsheet and the SheetMile Receipts folder. SheetMile cannot read your other Drive files, Gmail or contacts.
SheetMile's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy
SHARING
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. Data is transmitted only to Google (Drive and Sheets, at your direction, to your own account; Google Play for billing; Google Play services for sign-in, document scanning and location) and to RevenueCat (subscription validation). All transfers use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
RETENTION AND DELETION
Data on your device is kept until you delete it. Settings, Delete my data erases all receipts, trips, cars, photos and settings on the device, revokes SheetMile's Google access, and can optionally permanently delete the SheetMile spreadsheet and receipts folder from your Google Drive.
Uninstalling the app removes on-device data.
Files in your Google Drive are yours; you can also delete them in Drive at any time.
Subscriptions are managed in Google Play. To request deletion of RevenueCat subscription records, contact us at robin421@gmail.com.
CHILDREN
SheetMile is intended for adults (18+) running a business and is not directed at children.
SECURITY
Data is protected by Android app sandboxing on your device and by Google's security for your Google account. Use a device lock and secure your Google account with 2-Step Verification.
