The Sun Him Chhim Award for Community Service and Leadership
Description
The Sun Him Chhim Award for Community Service and Leadership is intended to recognize and support an individual's exemplary commitment to and leadership in community service. Towards this end, an award of $1,000 will be made to an individual with a commitment to uplift the Cambodian American community through demonstrated service and/or leadership in the community.
The Award is to be used by the recipient in one of the following ways:
To support an unpaid internship (in person or remote) at a community-based organization focusing on the Cambodian American community such as, but not limited to,
Cambodian Association of America, Long Beach, California
National Cambodian American Organization
Cambodian Association of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois
To support the development of a community oriented project aimed at promoting and advancing the Cambodian American community
Eligibility:
Students currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or professional programs
Professionals
