Hello! My name is Sharon Dallas, and I am a burgeoning costuming professional enrolled in my second year of Capilano University’s Costuming for Stage & Screen diploma program. I have been lucky enough to have gained work experience on independent and MOW film projects as a Set Supervisor, BG Costumer, and Prep Costumer.
I have a great love of fashion and sewing, with a particular interest in fashion history. I would love to build my knowledge and one day be considered an expert in the field of fashion history, or to become a resource for others. Attending University has aided me in developing my research skills. Attending art galleries, museums, and bookstores has aided me in developing my personal library of knowledge, as well as my personal library of half-read books. I am becoming somewhat of a collector!
This November, William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night is one of two theatre productions being staged by Capilano University. It is being directed by Bob Frazer with costumes designed by Marija Djordjevic. Along with my friend and colleague Kevin Ayton, I am an Assistant Costume Designer on this show. Please come! It opens Saturday November 19th, and tickets are available here.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to follow my passions for creation and design! If you are interested in following along with my projects, you can take a look at my costuming Instagram here: @shazcostumes.
