Admission Drop-Off 

For a quick and safe drop-off, please use Eva Street between Shawmont and Minerva. 

• Eva Street will serve as the primary arrival route for cars only to drop off students.

• Families should ensure students are ready for quick and independent drop-off.

• When you arrive, a staff member will be ready to help your child out of the car.

• Please stay in your car and let a staff member assist your child.

• Please do not park, idle or stop on Eva Street at any time from Shawmont Avenue to Dearnley Street. This area is reserved for a smooth transition within the drop-off area.

• Once your child is safely out of the car, please continue along Eva Street to Dearnley Street. At Dearnley Street you can either make a right or a left turn.

• In an effort to eliminate traffic congestion, we are asking that no one drop off their student(s) to access Shawmont School by entering Eva Street from Dearnley Street.

Parking for Walk-Ins and Pick-Ups 

If you prefer to park and walk your child to the schoolyard, please use the public parking lot on Bean Street which can be accessed via Shawmont Avenue or Minerva Street. Please use this designated area to enter and exit (see map). 

• Minerva Street will serve as the exclusive arrival route for school buses for both admission and dismissal.

• To enter the lot: If you are coming from Minerva Street, turn right onto Bean Street. If you are coming from Shawmont Avenue, turn onto Bean Street.

• To exit the lot: For your safety, please exit the lot onto Bean Street going west and then turn onto Shawmont Avenue.

Dismissal Pick-Up on Eva Street  

• At dismissal, only after school program vans will be permitted on Eva Street.

• The staff parking lot is not a place for pick up. Unauthorized vehicles may be ticketed.

Important Reminders   

• No parking, idling, or stopping, is permitted on Eva Street at any time during the school day. This area is reserved for active drop-off only.

• The parking lot is for staff only. Any unauthorized parked vehicles in this lot may be ticketed.

• For your safety and the safety of our students, no vehicles are permitted on Minerva Street between Bean Street and Eva Street, as this is the dedicated bus route.

• No entrance is permitted into the staff parking lot from the south entrance of the parking lot coming from Silverwood Street.
