Masters' Thesis: On the Applications of Correlation Subspaces

In this project, I worked on the applications of Correlation Subspaces formed by Difference Co-Arrays in array signal processing under Dr. Arijit De. I designed a Direction of Arrival Estimation Algorithm using Correlation Subspaces that estimates the direction of sources when the number of sources is far greater than the number of array elements. This novel direction of arrival estimation algorithm is found to be computationally less complicated. I compared its performance with previously designed Direction of Arrival Estimation like SS-MUSIC and ESPRIT.

Blind Equalizer for Telemetry Channel

In this project, I designed a blind equalizer for a Telemetry Channel under Dr. Debarati Sen. Our group used Bayesian Estimation techniques for equalization.

Study of convergence rates in 2D FEM and posteriori error estimators

In this project, I studied the convergence rates of 2D FEM solutions. I applied a suitable error estimator to the solution to refine the convergence rates. The error estimates were also used to redefine the FEM mesh to refine the solution. An adaptive meshing technique was developed using graph theory. The performance was compared with other adaptive meshing techniques.

This project was done under Professor Romanus Edlinger as a part of the DAAD-WISE scholarship at Saarland University, Germany.
