Welcome
Welcome
I am Shashank Kumar Ojha, currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the inaugural Rice Advanced Material Institute at Rice University (Texas, USA). I earned my Master's and Ph.D. degrees at the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science.
I possess extensive expertise in establishing and outfitting cutting-edge laboratories, with notable contributions at the Indian Institute of Science and independently at Rice University, where I led the design and implementation of high-end instrumentation and advanced laboratory infrastructure. With over eight years of experience, I have tackled some of the most formidable challenges in hard condensed matter physics, including 2D superconductivity, electron glass, nontrivial spin textures, and strongly correlated systems. My research has been primarily focused on probing complex oxides and their heterostructures to uncover and understand these phenomena. Currently, I am leveraging state-of-the-art scanning NV magnetometry to explore nanoscale electric field control of antiferromagnetism, with the ultimate goal of enabling ultralow-voltage logic for next-generation devices.
