As a subsystem head, I spearheaded the communication subsystem of 13 members to develop the conceptual design of Advitiy, the second student satellite of IIT-Bombay. After Pratham - th first student satellite (Launched on 26th Sept. 2016), which was 95% successful, we needed a second student satellite, Advitiy - technically advanced and efficient version of its predecessor. We conceptualized the quality assurance protocol by setting up software & documentation guidelines. We also conducted an 8 hours workshop for around 50 students from 15+ colleges across India to guide them on setting up their ground station as our social outreach program. We developed Satellite 101 - communication subsystem Wiki for the benefit of the institutes across the subcontinent aiming to start their student satellite project.
P.S: I am at the top-right corner in the pic.
As a program head, I led a team of 22 mentors to counsel 89 students, including 29 under-performing students. I handpicked 22 mentors from 35+ applicants through a rigorous interview and peer review process by evaluating their ethics, sincerity, and commitment. We have achieved a 25% reduction in the number of students with backlogs through the effective planning of their curriculum. We have attained a 150% increase of course and project reviews on the DAMP blog, serving to broaden the exposure of 180+ students of the Aerospace department.
I am appointed as the sole Academic Rehabilitation Program (ARP) TA by the Department of Aerospace Engineering based on ethics, past reputation, and exceptional performance as Department Academic Mentor. My role is in guiding and monitoring ten students in the ARP program with their academic activities and ensure they have every help from the institute to improve their academic performance and assist the professor in-charge of ARP.
