Department of Computer Science
University of Birmingham
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering of University of Birmingham. Prior to joining University of Birmingham, I was a post-doctoral research associate with the Department of Engineering of King's College London, working with Prof. Osvaldo Simeone since October 2019.
I obtained my Ph.D from the Systems and Control Engineering department of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in August 2018, under the guidance of Prof. Ankur A. Kulkarni. My research focused on finite blocklength information theory and novel optimization based approaches to obtain performance limits.
I hold a Master's degree in Systems and Control Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (2013). During the course of the program, I was a visiting research student at the Fachgebiet Regelungssysteme group of TU Berlin (September 2012-March 2013), where I completed my Master's thesis under the guidance of Prof. Joerg Raisch. I have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Kerala, India (2007).
