Sharpday Privacy Policy
Effective 24 October 2026
The short version
Sharpday has no accounts and no ads, and never sells data. Your progress stays on your phone. If you agree, Sharpday shares anonymous usage stats to improve the game, and tells Meta (Facebook) about the install so we can see which of our ads work. Both are off until you say yes, and you can turn them off at any time.
What is stored on your device
To keep your progress, Sharpday saves the following in the app's private storage on your phone:
scores, ratings, stars, streaks and achievements;
the optional display name you type in;
Sparks, unlocked looks and your settings (sound, vibration, reminders, theme).
This data stays on your device. The home-screen widget reads the same local data to show your streak.
Anonymous usage stats (only if you agree)
After your first game, Sharpday asks whether you want to share anonymous usage stats. Nothing is sent unless you choose "Yes". If you agree, Sharpday uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect:
what you do in the app, such as screens opened, games played, scores, levels and settings changed;
a random app-instance ID that Firebase creates for this installation (not your name, email or advertising ID);
an approximate location at country or city level, which Google derives from your IP address and does not store as an exact address.
We use this only to understand which games are too hard or too easy and to fix problems. Firebase stats are not used for advertising, and Sharpday does not collect the Android advertising ID. Data is sent encrypted. Google processes it for us as a service provider under the Firebase privacy terms.
You can turn sharing off in Settings › Privacy › Share anonymous stats, or tap "Delete my stats" there to reset this phone's analytics ID and stop sharing. You can also email us to ask for your data to be deleted.
Install reports to Meta (only if you agree)
We advertise Sharpday on Facebook and Instagram. To learn which ads bring players, Sharpday includes Meta's App Events SDK. It stays switched off, and sends nothing, until you say "Yes" to sharing stats. If you agree, it sends Meta:
that Sharpday was installed and opened ("app install" and "app launch" events);
when you finish a Daily Rush, with its score and number;
technical details Meta's SDK adds to these events, such as device model, operating system version, app version, an app-generated ID, and your IP address.
Sharpday does not send your name, email or the Android advertising ID to Meta. Meta uses this to measure and improve our ad campaigns and processes it under Meta's Privacy Policy. Turning off "Share anonymous stats" in Settings stops these reports. To ask Meta about data it holds, use the tools in Meta's Privacy Policy.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, Sharpday schedules them on your phone. No server is involved, and you can turn them off at any time in the app's Settings or in Android settings.
Sharing
When you tap Share, Sharpday creates a result image and hands it to the app you choose (for example a messaging app). Nothing is sent unless you choose to share, and what that app does with it is covered by its own privacy policy.
Purchases
Sharpday is free and currently offers no purchases. If paid features are added in the future, payments will be handled by Google Play under Google's privacy policy, and this policy will be updated first.
Children
Sharpday is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Deleting your data
To delete what is stored on your phone, uninstall Sharpday, or go to Android Settings › Apps › Sharpday › Storage › Clear data. To delete anonymous usage stats, tap "Delete my stats" in Sharpday's Settings › Privacy, or email us. This also stops install reports to Meta.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
