Upper Schuylkill Valley Park (Royersford) - an amazing park with a ton of unique animals! - a donations only place - bring your lunch for a picnic near the lake - lots of room to run around!

Rainbow Ridge Farm (Pipersville) - a cute small farm to introduce your child to friendly animals - on certain days they have pony rides - they also have a cool summer camp!

Hellerick's Adventure Farm (Doylestown) - mini golf - ropes course - terrific place for fall fun

Parkside Place Park (North Wales) - a smaller version of the large wooden castle in Doylestown, easier to keep an eye on younger kids - sand pit is a fun bonus

Limerick Community Park (Royersford) - both a small and large castle - the tallest & longest slides around - restroom facilities available

Friendship Park (North Wales) - Great for a variety of ages - tennis, basketball, sand volleyball, baseball field - children's playground is fully fenced

Central Perkiomen Valley Park (Schwenksville) - open area with playground - great for flying kites - creek for exploring - walking/bike trails

Kids Empire (Collegeville) - small & big kid areas - ball pit - ride on toys - caregivers can (mostly) fit in play areas - great for birthday parties

Arnold's Family Fun Center (Oaks) - arcade - bowling - go karts - laser tag - bumper cars - rainy day fun!

Maple Acres Farm Market (Plymouth Meeting) - pick your own strawberries and blueberries - pick your own flowers - shop local produce - farm animals and koi fish - seasonal hayrides and pumpkin patch

Bella Fiona Ristorante (Harleysville) - a slower paced style - they change out the soups and apps to keep the menu fresh - byob - reservations suggested as it's a popular place - my favorite dish is the chicken tortellini alfredo

Brothers Pizza (Harleysville) - my favorite place for a slice - cheesesteaks are good, too - they have regular and curly fries - they have an interesting "drunken grandma" pizza

Bubba's Steaks and Shakes (Harlerysville) - yummy shakes - cheesesteak egg rolls - cute outdoor seating

Energy Station (Harleysville) - your breakfast all day place - huge variety of food choices - can accommodate large groups - ice cream window open late during summer

Fridas Mexican Grill Two (Souderton) - your place for authentic mexican eats - queso is delicious - they also make a delicious street corn cheesesteak

Rams Pint House & Rooftop Lounge (Perkasie) - great variety of food including wings - good happy hour - rooftop lounge is fantastic for sunsets - get the tasty tots!

Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery (Perkasie) - not techinically a restaurant, but they do bring in food trucks - fun events and concerts throughout the year - wine slushies in summer are amazing

Yum Yum Bake Shops (Colmar) - a staple in my family - the best donuts around - Boston cream is my favorite!

Mission BBQ (King of Prussia) - your go to place for brisket - mac n cheese is good too - kids like the sodas in a bottle

Giuseppe's Pizza (Harleysville) - the best place for stuffed shells - this is a popular restaurant so expect a wait time on the weekends

Sundae School (Telford) - every ice cream flavor you can imagine! - cute outdoor area

Peace Valley Park (Doylestown) - kayak, canoe, and pedal boat rentals in summer (or bring your own) - 6 mile flat paved trail around the lake - trails near nature center are great for birding

Nockamixon State Park (Quakertown) allows powerboats - great for fishing - offers cabin rentals - swimming pool day passes (for purchase) on hot days, as swimming in the lake is prohibited

Green Lane Park & Perkiomen Trail (Green Lane) - a nice calm lake with on-site rentals during summer - hiking trails in the woods (different colors marked for various levels of difficulty)  - campground sites - fun playground

Skippack Creek Loop Hike (Collegeville) - walking trail along Skippack Creek - beautiful in fall 

Red Buffalo Stables/Ranch (Collegeville) - Guided horseback tours along wooded and grassy areas - great for all riding levels - picturesque photo opps

French Creek State Park (Elverson) a great place for frisbee disc golf - fishing off the pier is fun - checkout nearby Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site too!

Spring Mountain Adventures (Schwenksville) - your go to place for skiing and snow tubing - the off season gives opportunity for ziplining and bmx bike trails - they have a nature based camp for kids in summer!

Longwood Gardens (Kennett Square) - The festival of fountains in the summer is neat to watch - visiting during the holiday season with all the lights is a magical experience

Knoebels Amusement Resort (Elysburg) - a park for the whole family with a variety of rides - great food - young kids love the carousel and train ride - cabins, cottages, and campsites available to rent 

Promised Land State Park (Greentown) - a wonderful beach area for swimming and castle building - campsites and cabins available - boat rentals - Pickerel Point Beach is less rocky - restroom facilities near both beaches

Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park (Lancaster) - the perfect place for young kids to get their first amusement ride experience - splash park in summer - dive show is neat - make sure to stop at the giant pretzel for a family photo opp!

Ringing Rocks County Park (Upper Black Eddy) - boulder field that is tons of fun for kids and adults - bring a hammer for some musical rock fun - short trail leads to a small waterfall - free admission and parking

Camelback Resort (Tannersville) - mountain coaster - sunbowl tubing - treetop adventures & ziplining - scenic utv tours - the waterpark area turns into a spooky "curse of camelback" haunted zone starting end of September - skiing and snow tubing winter fun

Bushkill Falls (Lehman Township) - 8 waterfalls to enjoy - red trail is most challenging, but takes you to all 8 waterfalls - green trails are easiest and quickest if you have kids or senior citizens with you - dog friendly - the Fudge Kitchen has great ice cream! 

Crystal Cave (Kutztown) - a cool cave worth seeing - gemstone panning - minigolf course - bring comfortable shoes and a light jacket as the cave is chilly

Cherry Springs State Park (Coudersport) - okay, so this would be an overnight trip, but THIS is the ultimate spot for star gazing!
