The selected candidate will work on high-throughput microbial genomics to understand microbial physiology and evolution. A candidate with good skills in bioinformatics or computational biology will be preferred. Experience will also be given preference.

Do you have these Essential skills?
You should have a Biology/Bioinformatics/Computational biology background in your previous degree program/s.
You should have a bit exposure of Basic microbiology/ molecular biology/ bioinformatics-related work.
You should have enthusiasm and willingness to learn programming languages.
You should have good communication skills. Language (Hindi/English/regional) is no barrier.
You should have good organizational and time management skills, including the ability to maintain detailed records.
Do you have these Desirable skills?
Having a research fellowship from any central/state government agencies such as CSIR, UGC, DBT, or ICMR is always a big advantage for us and for you both. Please highlight this in your application. Preference will be given to such candidates.
If you have prior knowledge and hands-on experience in using computational tools to analyse NGS data, highlight it with examples in your application. Preference will be given to such candidates.
If you already are aware//expert of programming languages such as Perl, Python, R, etc., highlight it in your application. Preference will be given to such candidates.
