About me
I am a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Operations Research and Engineering Management, at Southern Methodist University (SMU), working with Prof. Harsha Gangammanavar. I received my Ph.D. in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR), at IIT Bombay with Prof. Vishnu Narayanan and Prof. P. Balamurugan. I finished my M.Sc in IEOR, IIT Bombay. Before joining SMU, I worked as a Data Scientist-OR at Cogneau Systems Pvt. Ltd, Gurugram from July 2023- Feb 2024.
Research Overview
My research interest lies in mathematical optimization under uncertainty. I am fascinated by how the fundamentals of optimization, probability and statistics can address the large-scale stochastic optimization problems seen in various domains such as suppy chain, network optimization and power systems. I am particulary interested in devising efficient solution methods with verifiable guarantees of the solution quality for problems which are beyond the reach of existing algorithms. I use core concepts of optimization, probability and statistics to advance theory and practice in decision-making under uncertainty.
