Preetam Sharma

I am currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK). I earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UTK in 2024, with a concentration in fluids and thermal sciences. A Tennessee Fellow (Tennessee Fellowship for Graduate Excellence, 2019 to 2024) and recipient of multiple accolades, including the Outstanding Student Service Award (2024), Summer Fellowship Award (2023), Dr. Hui Pih Memorial Engineering Fellowship (2021), and the Joel F. Bailey Scholarship Endowment (2020), I conducted research under Prof. Matthew M. Mench at the Electrochemical Energy Storage and Conversion Lab. Before joining UTK, I completed my MS in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) in 2017 and his BS in Aerospace Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, in 2015.
