The program is completely FREE. We want everyone to be able to build a startup with our resources and network.
All events will be held in the English and Bangla language. Communication with the Shark In team may also be done in Bangla.
No, there will be no coach or mentor involved in the progress sessions. We have used mentors during these sessions in previous editions but they proved to be inefficient for both parties due to the very early stage participant startups are in.
Yes, you are more than welcome. You must be aware of the time-zones and that after the program it will be harder for you to apply for an incubator program because, most of them require you to attend to offline workshops.
Unfortunately, that is not possible anymore. However, our partners will organize offline meetups before and during the program. Check our social accounts for updates.
You apply per startup, so you don't have to apply separately. All members of your team are more than welcome to join the progress sessions and feedback rounds.
First, once you successfully complete the program you will receive a certificate. More importantly, we suggest and connect you to top Bangladeshi incubators from our network based on your performance during the program, market your startup is active in and location.
To graduate from the program you must participate in at least 3 out of 4 progress session and hand in 3 out 4 exercises. You must also complete last week's assignment: the One Pager/Pitch deck. This document is important because it is your key to entering any incubator in the Bangladesh.
The more effort you put in, the more you will take out. Watching the lectures, attending the progress sessions and feedback rounds, combined, takes around 5/6 hours per week.
Shark In focuses on tech startups, such as marketplaces, SaaS, e-commerce, and much more. Currently, we are open to all founders working on an idea or at the first stage of their startup.
The program is offered through a couple of online events which can be split in two different categories: Expert Talks and Progress Sessions. Expert Talks always happen on Thursday afternoon/ evening and are an opportunity for participants to discuss their questions with industry experts. All weekly progress sessions will take place on either Friday or Saturday at 20:00 through Google Meet, depending on what day you select in your application. However, this can be re-adjusted with the group. The feedback round dates will be decided on later, depending on the experts' availability.
