Shark dash was available for Windows 8, but the Windows 8 store was shut down In March. How would I install the game on Windows 10? I have been looking for archives but they all lead to the Microsoft store and the game is not on the Windows 10/11 store.

As the father of the family, there needs to be a disaster to start any story, and here the kidnapping of your wife and child by the evil plastic ducks is the catalyst. So in a fit of rage and anger, you set out to get your family back by doing what sharks do best.

Storyboarding over, it's down to the game. To control the shark you simply slide your finger back from his body, and let go to make him jump in that direction. Just like the slingshot in a certain avian game, the distance your 'pull back' gauges the strength you put in the jump, and the direction is determined by the angle you create with your finger.

It's all rather simple, and thanks to countless games before it, very easy for users to understand what is going on. One interesting point in terms of the physics is that there is a lot of air resistance on show here. It means that your shark will quickly drop to the ground, and will slow down rather quickly. To be honest, this is perfect and feel exactly like the sort of result you would get if you were throwing a physical bath toy.

Shark Dash - in this arcade-puzzle game with elements of physics, in gameplay reminiscent of the famous Angry Birds, the main characters are rubber toys bathroom, namely shark and her pals, as well as harmful with rubber ducks. In the story, the ducklings hooligans brazenly invaded the habitat of sharks, and kidnapped the girlfriend of the protagonist, while they themselves unceremoniously bathe as if nothing had happened! This angered all aquatic life - sharks,saw-fish saw-fish, fish-hammer, diver etc. and of Course a shark will rescue his soul mate, and you need to eat as many rubber ducks. Gameplay is simple - pull the shark's tail and fed to the ducks. 96 levels in 4 locations, from Japan to Rome, coins, bonuses and different appearance of the hero!

Shark Dash for Windows 8 costs $1.99, and you can get it here right now. The Windows Phone 8 version will be 99 cents, but you will of course have to wait for Wednesday. It will be available in Brazil and Korea, but not Russia and Taiwan, presumably because those two countries are extra scared of sharks.

Shark Dash is a physics based puzzle game where a shark needs to catch rubber ducks in bathtubs filled with obstacles. The shark is launched by dragging it, choosing a direction and determining the power, and then releasing it. As the shark is flung it interacts with the environment, knocking over barriers, travelling through pipes, bouncing off walls, eating ducks etc. To complete a level all ducks need to be eaten in a limited amount of moves. If a duck is released from its position, it will swim around freely and can still be eaten that way, even if the shark did not reach it initially. If the shark lands on a platform out of the water, it drowns and the level ends right away.

Up to three stars can be earned per level, for eating all ducks, for retrieving all coins in a level and for completing it in a certain amount of moves. By completing levels, coins can be earned to buy new types of sharks with different abilities, to undo moves and to retry levels. Optionally coins can be earned by watching an advertisement. Levels are unlocked gradually and take place on four continents. Levels are presented in a random order for each new game.

Sharks get a bad rap in video games. Clover Studios positioned them as bosses in Viewtiful Joe and Okami, they'd devour Tony Montana if we went for a swim in Scarface: The World is Yours, and more recently Batman punched one in the face in Arkham City. Even games that let you play as the toothy predators like New York Shark or the infamous Jaws Unleashed portrayed them as fiends terrorising the land. Thankfully, Shark Dash is here to er, dash expectations of sharks.

You see, when a shiver of sharks have been abducted by malevolent rubber duckies and imprisoned in enormous bathtubs, their salvation lies in doing what they do best; solving physics puzzles. Each stage tasks you with eating all of your waterfowl overlords by flinging sharks around like rubber bands.

In true Angry Birds fashion, a dotted line gives a rough idea of a shot's trajectory and power, but much is still left to your estimation. Extra medals (used to unlock chapters) are awarded for collecting coins and completing levels in a certain amount of moves. It's a bit like golf, only with sharks (which is the sort of thing I'd expect Bond villains would do if they ever succeeded at world domination).

The going gets tougher when new types of sharks are introduced. Sawy's serrated snout can cut chains, while Hammy can alter his dash midway with a vertical boost. Some stages include juggling multiple characters to achieve your objective.

My only criticism with Shark Dash is that you earn in-game currency at too slow a rate. Redoing a turn or skipping a level is a costly concession, which is too bad as a more forgiving model would improve the pace. While you can purchase in-game currency with real money, the cost is exorbitant. After all, sharks aren't known for their generosity.

Aside from its punishing economy, Shark Dash is a near perfect puzzler for its platform. Flinging fish around is a relaxing activity, befitting of a game set in a bathtub, while there's plenty of room to scrutinize its more sadistic systems if you're looking to ace a stage. Shark Dash may be lacking in casualties and skimpy co-ed snacks, but that doesn't mean this shark doesn't have bite.

Introduction

Shark Dash is a 2D physics-based puzzle game in which you are tasked with destroying ducks in a bathtub with different types of sharks. The sharks are launched in a technique not unlike Angry Birds, but you can re-launch them even after making impact. There are 108 total levels across four worlds. The challenge is to get all three stars on each level. One star is earned for killing all the ducks (which completes the level), one for collecting all of the coins scattered across the level, and one for completing the level in a certain number of shots. Luckily no achievements are directly related to these stars. Currently the game is listed at $1.99 in the Windows 8 Store.

Step 1: Play through the levels

Play through the levels up until Hotel Level 21. You need 100 stars to unlock the Hotel world. Otherwise, you can ignore them completely. This is the last level that is needed for the miscellaneous achievements. See the guide if you wish to earn the miscellaneous achievements along the way. Many of them will come with little to no effort and without trying.

Step 2: Mop-up miscellaneous achievements

Complete whatever miscellaneous achievements you may have left. There may be a lot, but they can all be completed in a very short amount of time on specific levels. See the guide for the best levels and strategies.

Conclusion

Shark Dash is a simple yet fun Windows 8 game and is currently the cheapest and one of the quickest to complete. Luckily none of the achievements are directly related to earning stars. This makes the game a breeze. All of the achievements can be earned with little trouble in less than 3 hours.

Inflatable blocks are transparent colored and they look like ice cubes. You'll encounter the first one in 5th level (Home). You need to shoot the shark through the block and it will break. As soon as it breaks, you get the achievement.

This is one of the trickiest achievements in the game. The best level to attempt this on is Home Level 11. You need to fire the shark at full power towards the closest group of three underwater ducks, aiming for the middle one. Your Shark will eat all three of those ducks. You also need to time it so the green soap block that automatically falls at the beginning of the level hits your Shark while underwater to push it to eat the other three ducks. This will take many attempts just to get the timing right. See the picture below for the best angle.

In level 10 (Japan) you will need to release a beach ball under water to launch it into a tunnel and it will push the 2nd shark into the mines and you get the achievement. You're going to be aiming like this:

I'm also having the same issue with an Intel Wireless-AC 9560 160MHz on Windows 10 20H2. For some reason the 'monitor mode' option is just a dash and if I double click on it it turns into a text input box. Also Wireshark seems to think the driver is by Microsoft, which is not the case since I just installed an up-to-date one from my motherboard manufacturer and Device Manager indicates it was published by Intel. Not sure if Qamber is in the same scenario though.

Hello! Quick question: I use Ubuntu/Linux and I recently installed Wireshark using Ubuntu Software Center. It says that I successfully installed it, but now I don't know where to find the Wireshark folder or program! Which folder is it in and how do I access it?

How can I get wireshark to find my interfaces without using "sudo?" I just found this is the only way it would actually get into promiscuous mode. For me, just running wireshark fails to find my wlan0 interface.

saying that wireshark can be remotely exploited (generally), overshoots the mark. It's the myriad of lines of code in the dissectors, that pose a risk if you run wireshark with root privileges. Nobody knows if that code possibly contains security bugs. So, it's better not to run wireshark with root privileges. If you hit such a bug, while dissecting traffic, the impact will be of much less significance if wireshark runs within the context of an unprivileged user. 2351a5e196
