I am currently a Research Fellow at the Openmind Research Institute. My current research interests lie in developing cutting-edge solutions for parameter-free optimization, continual learning, efficient reinforcement learning, language model alignment, and foundation model architectures.
Before joining Openmind, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Prof. Richard Sutton’s group at the University of Alberta. I hold B.S. degrees in both Mathematics and Electrical Engineering, as well as M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, all from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. During my Ph.D., I had the privilege to spend a year as a visiting student in Prof. John Tsitsiklis's group at MIT. I also completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at Sharif University. In my earlier academic career, I was awarded the gold medal in the National Mathematics Olympiad.
