Each dawn in Kandahar, children as young as eight scavenge brick kilns and markets, their backs bent under loads meant for men. School is a ghost - survival is the only lesson.
They return home bruised, exhausted, yet dream of a future beyond dust.
A big shout-out to UNICEF Afghanistan and NGOs who must step in - not with handouts, but technical training in carpentry, solar repair, and tailoring. Give them skills, not just pity. Turn their struggle into dignity. Their future is built with skills - not stolen by labor.
