Sharelle Mone't Thompson (previously Sturdivant) lives and works in Cleveland, Ohio as a freelance photographer and artist working primarily in themes related to family, identity, religion and perspective as it relates to the Black experience.
She has a BFA in Photography from Cleveland State University. During her studies, she participated in extensive research and exhibition building focused on the art of the African Diaspora.
She has experience as an exhibition director and curator, exhibit marketing coordinator, and art instructor with the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland, as well as training with the Cleveland Museum of Art in research and evaluation as it relates to audience engagement.
Her photographic archival work is published in the exhibition catalog "At Home in Africa: Design, Beauty, and Pleasing Irregularity in Domestic Setting." Her written work is featured on Bright Insight, "a website focused on African architecture, public art, community planning, and landscape architecture in both historical and contemporary terms."
