Welcome to Scan & Share (hereinafter, "the Application," "we," "us," or "our"). Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the permissions the Application requires to function.

We want to be completely transparent about the information we handle. We divide it into two categories:

We do not collect or store any Personally Identifiable Information. This includes:

We do not require you to create a user account to use the Application.
The images, scanned documents, PDF files, JPGs, or texts extracted via OCR that you create with the Application.
b) Information Collected Automatically for Advertising:
The Application is free and is supported by advertising. For this purpose, we use the Google AdMob service. AdMob may collect certain non-personal information to display relevant ads to you. This information may include:
Advertising ID: A unique, user-resettable ID for advertising.
IP Address: To estimate your general geographic location (country or city).
Technical device information: Such as device type, operating system, and version.
Ad interactions: Information about the ads shown to you and whether you interact with them.

2. App Permissions
For its proper functioning, the Application requests the following permission:
Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): This permission is essential and is used solely to allow you to scan documents. The captured images are processed locally on your device to be converted to PDF, JPG, or to perform optical character recognition (OCR). We do not upload, store, or share your camera images on our servers.
3. Data Storage
All the documents you scan and the files you generate (PDF, JPG, etc.) are stored exclusively on your device's local storage. You have full control over these files. We do not have access to them. You are responsible for managing, backing up, and deleting your own documents.
4. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information processed through the Application. However, since we do not store your personal documents, the primary responsibility for the security of your files lies with the security of your own device.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Application is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can take the necessary steps.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
