Hansoul Kim received the B.S. degree from the School of Robotics, Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 2017, the M.S. degree from the Robotics Program, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Republic of Korea, in 2019, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, KAIST, in 2022. From 2022 to 2023, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering and Texas Robotics, The University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX, USA. From 2023 to 2024, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, University of California, Berkeley, Berkeley, CA, USA. From 2024 to 2026, he was an Assistant Professor with the Division of Mechanical Systems Engineering, Myongji University, Yongin, Republic of Korea. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the School of Robotics, Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. His research interests include surgical robotics, AI-assisted robotic surgery, robot task automation, soft robotics, and mechanism design.
