Who I Am
I'm a PMP-certified operations professional with 5+ years running regulated healthcare logistics -- the kind of work where every delivery, every access point, and every signature has to hold up under audit.
The Pivot, and Why
The pull toward IT didn't come from a class or a career quiz -- it came from the job itself. Every time a system flagged an exception -- a mismatched credential, an unauthorized pickup, a signature that didn't match the manifest -- I was the one manually chasing it down across three or four disconnected systems to verify who was actually authorized to touch what. Eventually I realized I wasn't just doing operations anymore; I was doing identity and access management by hand, with a clipboard instead of a console. That's what pulled me specifically toward IAM and Healthcare IT, not tech in general.
What I've Done About It
Since making that connection, I've built nine self-directed, hands-on projects in live systems (Okta, ServiceNow, SQL) -- IAM/RBAC design, a HIPAA-aligned access review, a ServiceNow service desk simulation, an IT risk register, a vendor & third-party risk review, and an AI risk assessment for generative AI in clinical documentation -- all documented and published on GitHub (see Home for the full breakdown).
By the Numbers
Day to day, that meant coordinating delivery and access authorization across a rotating network of 60+ hospitals, clinics, and care facilities, and maintaining chain-of-custody on 220-320 regulated medical assets daily -- with audit-ready documentation tight enough to survive compliance review every time, across 5+ years in the role.
What I'm Targeting
Healthcare IT Analyst, Application Support, IAM Analyst, or GRC Analyst roles -- remote, or based in Utah or Texas. I'm looking for a team that needs someone who already understands regulated environments and is actively building the technical skills to match.
