current dev status - working on resprites/redesigns, dialog, interiors, and changing things i dont like.
releasing a pre-alpha once im satisfied with progress.

Dialog
replaced my crappy dialog system with dialogic, a godot addon that makes dialog management way easier than what i was trying.
made myself a modular npc object and added some characters to talk to
Gameplay
started working on the combat system
spent around 2 - 3 days working on Lopoly City, adding foliage, an actual city model, graffiti, and other 2.5D elements.
a basic functioning title screen that plays music and a way to get back to it.
rebuilt the current progress from scratch, going at it with a different approach: work on the map first, visuals and animations second.
the player is now locked to first person (changed later on).

This is a devlog compilation, but SHAPERS is the first game in it
basic player movement, camera controls, basic environment, prototype shaper model with animations, a crosshair in first person, and a platformer blob shadow. also a little physical boombox to play with. you also jump higher when you run.
