This Privacy Policy applies to the Shap10r mobile app on Android and iOS.
Shap10r is provided by WSJ / William Scott Jensen as a free game. This page explains how information may be collected, used, and shared when you use the app.

This may include scores, best times, puzzle progress, selected game modes, settings, and other gameplay-related activity needed to operate and improve the app.
2. Leaderboard and profile information
If you use online leaderboard features, the app may collect and process information such as:
- a public username, nickname, or display name you choose
- country or country-level location information you choose to provide for leaderboard display
- leaderboard entries, scores, best times, and related game statistics
- an anonymous user identifier used to operate online services

Third-party services used by the app, including Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics, may collect device and app information such as device identifiers, app version, crash or diagnostic information, ad interaction data, and general usage information.

Ads

Online Leaderboards and Profiles
If you use online leaderboard features, information such as your chosen username, country, scores, best times, and related gameplay statistics may be stored and displayed as part of leaderboard functionality.
The app may also use anonymous authentication or service-generated identifiers to support these online features.
Information Sharing
Information may be shared with service providers and platforms that help operate the app, including:
- Google AdMob
- Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase
- backend services used to support leaderboard and profile features
We do not sell your personal information.
Local Storage
Some gameplay data, settings, and related app information may be stored locally on your device to support app functionality.
Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored app data may remain on your device until you remove the app or clear app data.
If you opt in to leaderboard or profile features, related profile and leaderboard information may be retained while those features are active. Where available, you may remove your leaderboard profile and associated entries using the in-app opt-out feature. You may also contact us with privacy-related requests.
Security
We use reasonable measures to help protect information processed by the app. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Shap10r is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly design the app for children under 13 as a target audience. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will review the request.
