I'm using the open source software, Quantum Espresso, for calculating the binding energy, adsorption energy, band structures and various other electronic properties of inorganic perovskites and their doped counterparts. Using the experimental results of the same quantities, I can crosscheck the computed values and validate my results.

Doping can also increase the photoluminescence (PL) yield, (hot) carrier lifetime and temperature. Read more here.
