About Us
Shantigriha Samudayik Utthan Samaj is a non-governmental, development oriented, non-profit making social organization established in 2080, the first initiatives by the youths who were engaged in drug addiction in the past, to come together to provide support to those involved in using injecting and other types of drug abuse in Nepal. It was started as an informal group but later on realizing the need of legislation of the organization it was formally registered under the NGO Act in Kathmandu District Administrative Office (DAO Reg. No – 32) dated 17th August 2023 and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council in 20th August 2023 and the affiliation number of 55700. It holds Permanent Account Number (PAN) and tax-exempt certificate issued by Inland Revenue Department. This organization follows the Curative approach and Rehabilitate approach.
Our Objectives:
This organization will be a non-profit, public benefit social organization.
Conducting public awareness programs such as conferences, seminars on issues of national interest such as untouchability, conservatism, domestic violence, human trafficking etc., and conducting education and legal literacy programs related to human rights, children's rights and women's rights.
"Conducting discussions, seminars, and other awareness-raising programs on national issues such as child abuse, conservatism, domestic violence, human trafficking, and providing education and legal literacy programs related to human rights, child rights, and women's rights within society."
In addition to providing support in various fields including elementary education of underprivileged children and conduct public awareness programs in the fields of health, drinking water, environmental sanitation, prevention of damage caused by natural disasters, drought prevention, etc. and conduct youth-targeted programs such as literary and cultural programs, sports, agriculture, animal husbandry to motivate the youth to engage in social work.
"To provide treatment to individuals trapped in substance addiction, offer them psychological counseling, treat individuals suffering from mental health issues due to substance addiction, and raise awareness about the problems that can be caused by substance addiction in various places, including schools, colleges, and other locations as necessary. Additionally, conduct programs related to the replacement of applicable substances through medical procedures, run campaigns to raise awareness about substance addiction laws, and organize awareness programs about communicable diseases like HIV, hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections, as well as preventive measures against life-threatening diseases like rabies, cancer, etc., and provide support to those affected by treatment."
To socialize the elderly, disabled, physically challenged, third gender and street children, conduct research and research on the situation of youth unemployment, internal migration, domestic violence against women and workers, the current socio-economic situation, the situation of youth migration abroad, etc.
To organize a program related to the management of dogs, cats, etc.
To build the capacities of local farmers for innovative farming, non-farming techniques, organic farming, and sustainable agriculture to enhance livelihood opportunities

Mission
To help the poor people mostly affected by the problem of Substance addiction, HIV/AIDS, kidney Disease and Cancer
To provide counselling service to the family of Substance users and to raise the drug awareness programs and campaigns

To raise the health camps in the remote areas of Nepal
Besides this, Shantigriha Samudayik Utthan Samaj mission is to provide opportunities to the recovering drug users and the people affected by the HIV/AIDS, Cancer and dialysis of kidney to make improvements in economic, social, and health conditions in order to achieve poverty alleviation and enhance social justice.
