I created vocabulary quiz from Woolfolk's Chapter 9 Quiz
My test analysis project supports Illinois professional teaching standard seven in several ways. With this test I can assess the students in my classroom to see in what areas they need help him and what areas they are strong at within the vocabular of the chapter. In this example of assessment, I valued vocabulary because, it is important for student to understand the language or verbage used throughout the chapter. The better students are able to comprehend such the more they are able to retain information as they complete activities on the chapter. I also asked three questions about the level of knowledge. in asking students to define vocabulary in their own words, as an educator I am assessing how well students are able to interpret information to recite. By asking students to define the vocabulary and provide an example I created the question difficult enough so the students had to go back and think about what they had read in the chapter, and if they can make the language apply to a situation. I used was evaluation, from Blooms level of Taxonomy this level when I asked students to think about a scenario as an example for the vocabulary word they were defining-- with that, students had to use their memory to refer back to what they had read. The last level I used in Taxonomy was comprehension, as students were able to restate or sum up vocabulary in their own words.
Using Google forums provides evidence of using Illinois Professional Teaching Standard 7O which states "effectively uses appropriate technologies to conduct assessments, monitor performance, and assess student progress."
My google form supports this standard because it uses technology to keep my students engaged in the learning task. Uing google forms, I am able to score multiple choice portions automatically, I can also record imputed answers and use it to guage what I may need to test students on again later. Using this assignment I am able to see their performance and where exactly they are academically.
7M; "maintains useful and accurate records of student work and performance" also supports my assignment in this standard. After creating the spreadsheet, it is something I can put away for my records and pull it to later assess progress for students. Ideally with google forms you can great quizzes as initial baselines for where a student may be on a subject matter, after having taught more on the matter, and quizzing again I would be able to compair data to see growth. Having their assessments on file and ready to use can be very important when you are trying to find evidence.
