Originally from Durgapur, West Bengal, I completed my M.Sc. in Geology before moving to Dehradun, Uttarakhand in 2020 to pursue an M.Tech. in Remote Sensing and GIS (Geosciences specialization) at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, a constituent unit of the Indian Space Research Organisation. After graduating in 2022, I joined the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay as a Ph.D. scholar at the Centre of Studies in Resources Engineering (CSRE), serving as a Teaching Assistant and PMRF.
I qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET-LS) in 2019 and the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in 2022. I was awarded the Golden Jubilee Scholarship at IIRS for securing the top rank in my specialization. I am currently a recipient of the prestigious Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) for pursuing my doctoral research.
Beyond academics, I have a deep appreciation for painting and actively explore traditional styles of Indian folk art, learning about their regional histories, symbolism, and indigenous techniques. I enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures, cuisines, and ways of life, often exploring places on foot to observe everyday rhythms and local narratives. Gardening allows me to stay connected with natural processes, while cooking—particularly regional Indian dishes—serves as another creative and cultural exploration. I also enjoy Zumba as a way to stay active and maintain balance alongside research life.
