"I want to live. I want to be free. I want to have a family, a dog, and peace of mind" – Shannon
Shannon is a 36-year-old woman from Doncaster, UK, who has been fighting addiction for over a decade. She's not just a statistic — she's a human being with dreams, trauma, and an immense desire to recover. But despite her will, the system has failed her.
Over the past few years, Shannon has repeatedly reached out for help. Each time, she was either ignored, put on endless waiting lists, or denied urgent detox support. She was hospitalized multiple times with life-threatening conditions, including pneumonia and septicemia. One doctor recently said that if an ambulance hadn’t been called when it was — she would have died within two days.
Shannon has lost almost everything — her health, stability, dignity, and the hope that someone will fight for her. This fundraiser is her last real chance to get clean, get therapy, and rebuild her life from the ground up.
Shannon is caught in a cycle of:
severe addiction and trauma
lack of access to real rehabilitation services
homelessness and instability
being treated as “just another addict” by a broken system
She is not in denial — she wants help. But the public services in Doncaster haven’t provided any real opportunity for recovery.
We’re raising funds to:
Secure a private detox and rehab placement
Pay for trauma-informed therapy
Provide food, clothing, and temporary accommodation
Cover transportation and post-rehab care
Every pound donated helps save a real life. Every share spreads the word.
Shannon’s story is one of survival, not surrender. She is still here. Still hoping. Still fighting. But she cannot win this fight alone.
If you ever believed in second chances — this is it.
Please help Shannon get the chance she’s been denied for years.
Donate. Share. Be the light in someone’s darkest hour.
Thank you 💛
