Having completed my training in Scotland I was keen to move home. I have worked in Shankill Dental Care since 2001, initially part-time when it was "Bailie's Dentist" then full time before becoming a partner in 2005.

The best thing about my job is the friendly atmosphere and real sense of community spirit where we work. I enjoy putting anxious patients at their ease and I have an interest in cosmetic dentistry.

I have been working in Shankill Dental Care for over 20 years now and became an owner in 2005. Since I started practicing dentistry on the Shankill Road the people have welcomed me from day one and I now feel I am part of the community and this means so much to me.

I have a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and have also attended a course on facial aesthetics including the use of Botox which I am interested in expanding in the near future.

I am always looking for ways to make the dental experience enjoyable and fun for children and I like to spend time with them to make them as comfortable as I can in the dental surroundings and have also completed a course on autism.

One day per week I change my environment and really enjoy my role in the Dental school as a supervisor to the third year students studying dentistry in the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Graduated 2007.

After qualifying from Queen’s University in Belfast in 2007, I spent my first year in a dental practice in Newcastle, County Down.

The following year I swapped views of the Mournes, for the School of Dentistry in the Royal Hospital, Belfast where I worked as a House Officer in Oral Surgery and Restorative dentistry. During this year I completed a further post graduate qualification, before moving to Shankill Dental Care in 2009, where I have been ever since. I have an interest in Oral surgery and facial aesthetics, providing anti-wrinkle treatments.

I love having the opportunity to care for people in the community in which I grew up. The endless chat with a great bunch of people makes work enjoyable.

Became a Member or the Faculty of Dental Surgeons in Edinburgh 2009

I have been working in Shankill Dental Care from 2012 following 4 years of working in the School of Dentistry Belfast which included rotations in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Maxillofacial, Periodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Orthodontics and Prosthodontics. It also included working alongside consultants and lecturers to help with teaching of students while improving my own skills and knowledge.

Since joining Shankill Dental Care I have enjoyed a varied rage of treatments on a variety of personalities and age ranges. I enjoying being able to relieve people’s dental pain and improve their confidence by improving their dental aesthetics
