On 13th May 2026, the lab came together at Masala Martini, BEL Road, to celebrate and bid farewell to the very first B.Sc. student batch of our lab. The gathering was filled with great food, lively conversations, and plenty of laughter as everyone reminisced about their experiences, challenges, and achievements throughout their time in the lab. While this marked the end of an important chapter, it was also a celebration of the friendships, growth, and memories they leave behind, and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead for each of them.
On 12th May 2026, the BSc students of our lab successfully presented their final 8th-semester thesis projects. It was especially exciting to see them as the first batch of undergraduate students from Ramaiah to undertake research projects in our lab. We look forward to seeing them build on this experience and achieve even greater success in their future academic and research endeavors.
On 6th and 7th May 2026, members of the lab participated in TRANSLATE 2026, a symposium organized by MIRM, Bengaluru, that highlighted advances in translational research spanning biomaterials, stem cells, bioengineering, and clinical sciences. The event featured several inspiring innovations, ranging from pesticide protection products, to advanced 4D-printed devices. Our students actively presented posters showcasing their research, making the symposium an enriching platform for scientific exchange and learning.
On 29th March, all lab members came together for a delightful lunch gathering hosted by Sir at his residence. The afternoon was filled with delicious food and desserts prepared by the MSc students, along with games, music, dancing, laughter, and shared memories, making it a truly enjoyable and memorable occasion for everyone.
On 16th March, our lab went out for a small and warm gathering to welcome our new postdoctoral researcher, Dr. Nasera Rizwana. Over coffee, chai, and a variety of chaats, we shared stories, laughter, and got to know each other better!
Students from our lab attended and presented posters at the International Symposium on "Advances in Neurochemistry and Neurotherapeutics" organized by the Department of Neurochemistry and Neurophysiology at NIMHANS along with the SNCI Bangalore Chapter on 28th January 2026. The talks by professionals in the field covered key areas like the role of epigenetic chromatin biology and immune factors in the development of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
Our lab group went out for a fun lunch at KOI on Bell Road on January 3rd 2026 and it was the perfect break from routine. The table was full of the most hilarious yet curious gossip and random discussions that somehow taught us all a little more about each other! There was a lot of laughter, good food, and easy conversations and we walked out feeling lighter and more connected as a group.
All the lab members and faculty from RUAS gathered on 13th December 2025 for afternoon lunch to attend sir’s housewarming function and it turned into a really warm and memorable get together for everyone. We spent time talking laughing and catching up outside the lab setting and the food was honestly amazing!
Students from our lab including PhD scholars and bachelor’s students took part in the 2nd Annual Research Scholars Symposium - SHODH 2025 organized by the Office of Research and Innovation at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the Institutions Innovation Council. The event was held at the RTC Peenya Campus on 11th and 12th December 2025 where our students participated in oral presentations and interacted with researchers from different fields around the theme "Advances in Sustainable Technologies Design and Innovations", gaining useful feedback and new perspectives on their work.
We celebrated sir’s 49th birthday on 24th October 2025 in college by cutting a cake together, and it turned into such a happy and memorable moment. We laughed a lot, took photos, and enjoyed sharing the day with him, making the whole celebration feel warm and special.
We celebrated Teacher’s Day on 9th September 2025, and we as a lab came together and gifted him a poster collage showing all the lab members as different Marvel characters! It was a show of thanks to him for being such an amazing teacher, mentor, and guide.
The farewell for the 2024–2025 M.Sc. batch on 11th August was a warm and memorable send-off, filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and a touch of nostalgia. To celebrate the occasion, the lab gathered for a cozy lunch at Cocobolo, New BEL Road, where good food perfectly matched the lively atmosphere. Between bites and banter, stories from the graduating batch were shared, future plans were toasted, and plenty of photos were clicked to capture the moment. It was less of a goodbye and more of a cheerful reminder that once a part of the lab family, always a part of it.
On May 17th, 2025, during the Open Day at RUAS, our lab had the exciting opportunity to showcase some of our major research endeavors to newly enrolled students as well as those exploring the university as potential future scientists. With interactive and engaging conversations, we introduced visitors to the fascinating worlds of Axonal Drug Delivery, Neural Inputs in Healing, and High-Altitude Neurovascular Research. The atmosphere was electric as curious minds gathered around to ask questions, draw connections to real-world applications, and imagine where these projects could lead.
On 12th April, our Lab hosted a lively online alumni meet that turned out to be much more than just a catch-up session—it felt like a virtual reunion filled with stories, laughter, and some much-needed wisdom. The event was designed to bring together past and present members of the lab, creating a bridge between old experiences and new aspirations. Alumni shared candid anecdotes of their time in the lab, from late-night experiments to last-minute paper submissions, while current members jumped in with their own questions, curiosity, and occasional memes in the chat box.
