Throughout my life, I have taken many different interests, from painting and art to archaeology and learning about the world around me. Although these interests seem unrelated, each one has taught me something different about the way I think and see the world around me. I have always been drawn to things that allow me to be creative and hands-on. I decided to pursue aeronautical engineering and aviation as a career. At a young age, I would constantly beg my parents for remote-controlled planes and drones. They would always refuse to buy them for me because they knew that I would end up taking them apart or disassembling the pieces to make something new. I decided that this career field was right for me when I knew that I was fascinated with the idea of seeing places from thousands of feet above ground, while looking at the world from a different perspective. I am also interested in how airplanes are designed and how they stay in the air.
In preparation, I am currently taking Algebra 2 and AP Physics 1. Additionally, I took Algebra 1 and Geometry in previous school years. I'm not the best at math, but I'm challenging myself to achieve the goals I want in life. To further assist my career goal, I am currently taking Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center's Engineering program. These classes have taught me how to approach problems logically, understand measurements, space, forces, energy, and design and building.
