🌿 Meet Ms. Rachel – The Heart Behind Shangri-La Farms 🌿
Welcome, friends! I’m Ms. Rachel, the lucky mama of nine incredible, homeschooled children who amaze me every single day with their unique spirits and boundless curiosity. Our life is a wild, wonderful adventure—rooted in learning, kindness, and the simple joys of farm living.
Horses have been my passion for as long as I can remember. As an equestrian, I focus on liberty training and the whole horse, believing deeply in positive reinforcement, patience, and understanding. Every animal on our farm—whether it's a towering horse or the tiniest quail—is valued, cherished, and loved. From goats and ducks to rabbits and pigs, our fully functional homestead is a labor of love, filled with both joy and challenges, hugs and hard work.
At my core, I’m a hippy, a pacifist, and a believer in the power of love and kindness. I truly value every person I meet and strive to create a space where all feel welcome, accepted, and inspired. I believe the earth is sacred, history is our teacher, and science is a never-ending adventure waiting to be explored. To me, every child is a magical canvas, ready to be filled with knowledge, compassion, and wonder.
