Air Laboratory
Air Laboratory
Our air laboratory is located on the fourth floor of the Snell Engineering Building. The air lab is dedicated to conducting both real-time measurement of ambient air and offline chemical and physical analysis of air pollutants.
Measurements:
Gases: O3, NO, NO2, NOx, SO2, CO, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, H2O, CO2, CH4
Aerosols: Nitrate, sulfate, ammonium, chloride, organic acids, organics mass spectra, elemental ratios, BC, PM1, PM2.5, PM10, number size distribution (10–800 nm), organic functional groups, UV-Vis absorption, TOC
Meteorology: T, RH, P, Winds
Mobile Laboratory
We have developed a mobile laboratory eqipped with advanced instruments for measuring particles and trace gases in the air. We will employ this mobile lab to create detailed maps of air pollutants with high spatiotemporal resolution. When not in motion, the mobile lab can function as a fixed measurement station at a specific location.
Measurements:
Met and Position: T, RH, P, Winds, GPS, Vehicle Speed
